I did this isometric tileset becuase of a pixel dailies prompt but also because i wanted for a long time to do a tileset that could be use on a puzzle game.

It cotains colorful platforms, indicators of the start line, a ball not animated, a final lane flag and the color palette which is the ressurrect 64.

The ZIP contains a mock up, as well as the tileset.

If you want to help me produce more tilesets, or just to show me some support, my ko-fi is always open for that, and I as a good Colombian girl, I do like coffe.

In the description of asset pack you mentioned that this asset pack can be used in puzzle game..

well yeah, gamedevs can do any type of puzzle game they want to create with this, Maybe a ball that rolls and should not fall or a bouncing object to collect points or something like that

Itch lacks quality free (in the sense free/libre license) assets of slime for platformer games. (https://itch.io/game-assets/tag-slime)


So I propose you to create one simple animated slime for platformers. Then to upload it on your page with CC-BY 4.0 license as you do with other assets. I think it should be "popular" (I saw some proprietary slimes) and can bring you some starts... At least one from me :)

I just remembered. Do you have an OpenGameArt account? If not I recommend you to create one and also upload there your assets... OpenGameArt collects only free/libre assets but it is exactly what you make. Some people that use only free/libre assets don't visit itch because don't want to search for free assets inside a sea of proprietary assets. And it always good to have several sources of leads...

Itch allows to filter assets by license but if author didn't set correct metadata it is impossible :/

I want to improve the situation a bit because I believe that assets (and code) should be free/libre. It is a reason why I wrote you that first question about license :D

You should add the license into metadata for the asset pack(s):

"Edit asset pack->Metadata->Release Info->License for assets" It will increase the size of audience that will be able to find your art

The tiles in this tileset are positioned irregularly, so it is not possible to use this tileset in many tilemap editors without editing the image first ):

I was able to load the original tileset image in its presumably intended form in Tiled, but it required manually defining where each tile is, since they're not on a uniform grid. Once that hassle is over with though, the tiles work quite well on a 48x24 isometric grid!


I did notice some weirdness when making non-stepped turns though - you can't always get a nice light line between tiles in corners, you have to choose between no line or a thick dark line. In the screenshot above, I went with no line.

In Tiled, to create the stair-stepped effect like in the mock-up without creating a load of layers or Objects, one would need to make three versions of the tileset: One with 0 vertical drawing offset, one with +8, and one with +16. Works nicely this way though, and allows keeping the tiles all in one layer.

Thanks for sharing this tileset :D Although I don't have any plans for it, I had fun playing with it, at least after I managed to load it as an actual tileset xP

These tiles would probably look amazing with a little programmatic bounce/displacement when the player is on them.

I think it is solved! plus i add more tiles and the thick line i think its gone. For the grid i solved as to put the size 48x96 on Tiled, works so well! And yeah, I included three version for the height but only on the flat platforms.
